About me
Marco Marsella from the University of California - Santa Barbara is graduating in Spring 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and the focus on International Relations. As a Policy and Legislation Fellow, Marco is excited to apply his teamwork skills to achieve LULAC’s mission of positively impacting equity reform in the United States and embracing diversity. His commitment to continuous growth aligns with LULAC’s adaptability along with a personal background that includes a list of leadership experiences such as serving as the Varsity Captain for Soccer, Track and Field, and Cross Country, achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, and earning the position of General Manager at Chipotle at only 21 years old while also attending school full time. As a first-generation student, Marco is driven by his family who paved the way for him to achieve academic success through their hard work, sacrifice, and unwavering support. Additionally, he has a strong appreciation for Venezuelan and Italian culture through his heritage. In his free time, Marco loves to travel and read as they both offer an opportunity to explore new worlds. After he graduates, his goal is to pursue a career with a federal agency so he can leverage his knowledge and skills to make a meaningful impact by advocating for positive change through the government.
